Well not literally. But for those of you that wait for others to review an item before you buy it, maybe you want to feel it in your hands or see if all the bugs are worked out, Best Buy doesn't like you much. That is the case with the Galaxy Note 4. Unless you pre-ordered the Note 4, you won’t be able to take advantage of Best Buy’s trade-in promotion. The Best Buy promotion guarantees $200 for your phone when you buy the Note 4 and expires November 1st. That sounds awesome, except for the fact that their inventory is nonexistent.
For the last 8 days I have been calling all the Best Buy stores in Los Angeles County, and not one has the Note 4 in stock. That is 24 stores within a 110 mile radius. The only answer I get is, “at the moment we are only filling the pre-orders and have no inventory.” I was told to keep calling back in the mornings and in the afternoon to see if someone cancels their order. Their inventory woes is even frustrating their employees, who are tired of people like me calling to see if they have the Note 4 in stock.
I’m not just trying to get the phone because it is “The Next Big Thing” but because my current phone is on life support, the only thing keeping it together is the case that it is in. I am due for an upgrade and I might as well upgrade for the phone that I really want. But it is actually going to hurt me to have to pay $200 more than what I could have paid had Best Buy had kept some type of inventory management. I am still going to the Note 4, I really thing it is a great phone and for my line of work it is perfect. I just going to have to convince my CEO the “I really need it for work” maybe he’ll dust off the spider webs in his pockets and shell out some cash
